Below is a listing of our classes for the summer. As always, if you are interested in a class that you do not see currently offered or have ideas for a new class, please contact us. If there is enough interest, we are always happy to schedule additional classes.

We will also be starting up our Social Walks this coming Sunday, May 18 after Canine Social Hour. PUPPY CLASSES

SUNDAYS

Puppy Recess (socialization sessions)
Every Sunday except May 25, June 8, and July 6; 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
Location: Deer Creek Animal Hospital, Southwest Litt leton near C-470/Kippling.
Cost: $5. No registration is required.
Puppy Recess is for dogs 8 weeks to 6 months of age. Your puppy must be current on all age-appropriate vaccinations, including Bordatella (kennel cough).

Puppy Pre-School
Summer Series: Sundays, May 18 – July 20 (Skip May 25, June 8 & July 6), 1:15-2:15 pm
Summer Series 2: Sundays, July 27 - Sept. 14 (Skip August 31) , 1:15-2:15 pm

Kids and Canines Clicker Class

Cost: $100 for 7 sessions. Pre-registration required. Your dog must be current on vaccinations, including Bordatella (kennel cough). For kids ages 8-15 years old, must be accompanied by an adult.

Puppy: Mind Your Manners!
Summer Series: Thursday, June 19 – July 31, 6:15-7:15 pm
Location: Deer Creek Animal Hospital, Southwest Littleton near C-470/Kippling.
Cost: $120 for 7 sessions. Pre-registration is required.
Puppy: Mind Your Manners! is for puppies/adolescent dogs 5 to 8 months of age. Your dog must be current on all age-appropriate vaccinations, including Bordatella (kennel cough). Many people join Basic Training after Puppy Preschool, but we are now offering a special class to follow up Puppy Preschool or for those who are starting their training a bit late for Puppy Preschool. The adolescent stage can be a difficult one which is why most dogs you see in shelters are adolescent dogs. This class is specifically to help you get through the initial stages with your “teenager”!

ADULT DOG CLASSES

Basic Training 2
There is not a Basic 2 class scheduled for the summer. Please check the fall schedule or consider joining us for our Canine Good Citizen Class this summer. See below for details.

Canine Good Citizen Class and Test
Sunday, June 22 – August 17 (Skip July 6), 10:15-11:15 am
Location: Deer Creek Animal Hospital, Southwest Littleton near C-470/Kippling.
Cost: $150 for 7 class sessions and the Test. Pre-registration is required.
Canine Good Citizen Class is for dogs 6 months and older and for those who have been through Basic Training or its equivalent. Your dog must be current on all vaccinations, including Bordatella (kennel cough).

Basic Training

Location: VCA Southeast Area Animal Hospital, Southeast Denver, Parker/Iliff.

Basic Training is for dogs 4 months and older. (Please note that this location only allows dogs of 4 months and older since there is no Puppy Preschool class at this location.) Your dog must be current on all vaccinations, including Bordatella (kennel cough).

Cost: $120 for 7 sessions. Pre-registration is required.
Distracted Dogs is for dogs 6 months and older. Your dog must be current on all age-appropriate vaccinations, including Bordatella (kennel cough). 
Distracted Dogs is a class for adolescent or adult dogs who are doing well with training – when there are no distractions around – but seem impossible to work with when there are any distractions. This class is not intended to teach the basic sit, down, come and stay. This class is designed to help you teach your dog to focus on you no matter what distractions are present.
