Behavior Consultations
Love My Dog Training will go to your home, making it more convenient for you and saving you travel time. In addition, this allows me to observe your dog in his natural home environment.
- Having a specific behavior issue that needs special attention outside of regular obedience training? I can help you.
- You will fill out a detailed questionnaire, which we will discuss, along with additional questions, in detail before I make recommendations as to how to handle the issue(s). The initial consultation usually lasts between one-and-one-half and two hours.
- You will receive a written report with my findings and recommendations for management, training and/or behavior modification, depending on your circumstances. Depending on the situation, additional sessions for behavior modification and training might be recommended.
- Please note: I do not work with dogs exhibiting serious aggression toward humans who have bitten and injured people. In that situation, I highly recommend you find a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist or Veterinary Behaviorist.
The charge for a consultation is $140. Cost includes actual time spent for the consultation, travel, preparation, and report-writing as well as the written report and any follow up questions via phone or email. Additional training time is charged at the private training rate; see Single Training Sessions or Specialized Lesson Plans above for additional information. If you pay for an additional 4 session training package at the time of the initial consultation, you will receive a discounted package rate of $350 for the consultation and 4 additional training sessions.
