Puppy Preschool

Cost: $150 for 7 sessions or $25 per session
No need to wait for the next class to start! Classes are designed to join at any time if space is available.
- While we recommend you sign up for the full class, you may register for one or several sessions. Register for all 7 sessions of Puppy Preschool and receive one session free of charge.
- Classes are open to all breeds of dogs.
For puppies 8 weeks to 5 months of age at start of class.
- Learn impulse control (self-control) exercises and basic manners.
- Learn basic cues, including: sit, down, come, wait, and leave it.
- Learn effective techniques for housetraining, crate training, nipping, and chewing.
- Learn to prevent and problem-solve future issues that might arise.
- Breaks are allowed for puppies to socialize and play.
- Learn to differentiate appropriate play from potential problems.
- Handouts and video training clips are included.
- Clickers, if you decide to use them, are extra. ($2 with wrist coil).

Juvenile Delinquents: Mind Your Manners

Cost: $150 for 7 sessions.
Juvenile Delinquents: Mind Your Manners is a class for puppies or adolescent dogs between 5 months and 2 years of age. This class is designed as the next step after Puppy Preschool or Basic Training. The adolescent stage can be a difficult one which is why most dogs you see in shelters are adolescent dogs. This class is specifically to help you get through the initial stages with your “teenager”!

Basic Training

Cost: $150 for 7 sessions
For dogs 5 months and older at the start of class.
Sessions include:
- Intro to Dog Body Language
- Intro to Dog Training
- Basic Manners
- Leash Manners
- Come!
- Stay
- Working with Distractions

- Clickers, if you decide to use them, are extra. ($2 with wrist coil).
- Classes are open to all breeds of dogs.
- One of my specialties is working with retired racing greyhounds. If you have a greyhound, I will help you tailor your training to his/her special needs. I am currently offering a $15 discount for group classes to anyone bringing a greyhound adopted through Colorado Greyhound Adoption.

Basic Training, Part 2

Cost: $150 for 7 sessions
- Learn to achieve reliability under increasing distraction for leash manners, stay, come and others.
- Learn heel.
- Other exercises and cues as time allows and based on class participant needs or requests.
Dogs must have completed Basic Training or equivalent.

Polite Pooches in Public

Cost: $175 for 7 sessions
This class is for those who have done the Basics and now want to get out and practice in the real world! During our first session, we will choose the locations for our remaining sessions. We will look for suggestions for dog-friendly locations you would like to meet and practice your dog’s polite social skills.
Dogs must have completed Basic Training or equivalent; Juvenile Delinquents or Basic Training 2 is also highly recommended.
Canine Good Citizen Test Preparation Class and CGC Test

Cost: $185, includes the cost for the CGC test
This class is for anyone interested in obtaining the CGC award or for anyone looking for the next step in training beyond Basic Training. The focus of this class is to help our dogs to become polite members of our society. The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test was created by the American Kennel Club (AKC) and is a 10 point test to show that your dog will behave in public and respond to you for things such as, sit, down, come, stay and walking nicely on a loose leash. Dogs must have completed Basic Training and Juvenile Delinquents or Basic Training 2.

Distracted Dogs

Cost: $150 for 7 sessions
Distracted Dogs is a class for adolescent or adult dogs who are doing well with training when there are no distractions around but seem impossible to work with when there are any distractions. This class is not intended to teach the basic sit, down, come and stay. This class is designed to help you teach your dog to focus on you no matter what distractions are present.

Rally Obedience for Fun!

- Cost: $150 for 7 sessions
Looking for fun ways to train, exercise, entertain and interact with your dog? This is an introduction to Rally Obedience. While the competitive bug might hit you, this is also a great way to have fun training your dog for a reliable sit, down, stay, heel, and come. The emphasis is on heeling and more importantly, having FUN and being positive with your dog!
Dogs must have completed Puppy Preschool, Basic Training or equivalent. Completion of Juvenile Delinquents or Basic Training 2 Class is also highly recommended.

Fun & Games!

Looking for fun ways to train, exercise, entertain and interact with your dog? Are you and your dog tired of the same old sits, downs, and stays? Our Fun & Games Class will introduce you to fun ways to incorporate training, fun and games together. We will introduce you to agility, rally, tricks training, nosework, fetch, and other fun ways to interact and build a stronger bond between you and your dog.
Dogs must have completed Puppy Preschool, Basic Training or equivalent. Completion of Juvenile Delinquents or Basic Training 2 Class is also highly recommended.

Agility for Fun

Cost: $100 for 4 sessions
Looking for fun ways to train, exercise, entertain and interact with your dog? Are you and your dog tired of the same old sits, downs, and stays? This is not intended to be an introduction to competitive agility, but rather a fun way to train and bond with your dog.
Dogs must have completed Puppy Preschool, Basic Training or equivalent.

Multiple Dog Class

Cost: $275 for 7 sessions (2 dogs, one handler per dog)
This class is for families with multiple dogs. This class will focus on managing and working with two or more dogs in a household. We will address how to handle meal time, walks, play, getting through doorways, etc. We will work on having dogs respond together and separately to various cues.
Basic Training or equivalent training for each dog is required.

Rabbit Recall

Cost: $100 for 4 sessions
What is a “rabbit recall”? This is a recall (“come”) that is as rapid, reliable, enthusiastic and focused as your dog is on a rabbit when he sees one. Do you wish your dog would respond as quickly and reliably to you as he does every time he sees a rabbit - or squirrel or another dog or whatever it is that gets him so excited he can’t think about anything else? You’ve seen how focused and fast your dog can be - now let’s get that same response when you call your dog to you!

Tricks for Treats

Cost: $50 for 2 sessions
We will learn basic skills for shaping behaviors and targeting and how these methods can be used to teach a variety of tricks or other fun skills beyond the basic sits and downs. Dogs Unleashed!

Cost: $150 for 7 sessions
Pre-requisite: Dogs must perform basic cues reasonably well on leash (sit, down, come, stay/wait, leave it, watch me, loose leash walking) and get along well off leash with other dogs of all sizes.
For dogs who responds well on leash and now you'd like the same reliability off-leash. Focus will be on the Basic Training cues, only this time off-leash.

Semi-Private Custom Classes
Can’t seem to find the right class for you? Current schedule doesn’t allow you to attend the class you want? Class is across town and you want something closer? Recruit your friends or neighbors and contact us about scheduling your very own class!
- What: choose from our current list of classes, or contact us about designing a class to meet your needs.
- Location: your home or a nearby appropriate location
- When: fit to your schedule
- Cost: will depend upon the details of the class
- Pre-requisite: we must have at least 3 dogs committed to the class. No refunds can be given once class has started.
